A complete webshop on your own machine
The installer sets up Rapidez together with a demo Magento store, completely in Docker. Copy the command, run it in your terminal and start building. This is what happens:
curl -fsSL https://rapidez.io/install | bash

What do I need?
Just Docker with Docker Compose, on macOS or Linux. PHP, MySQL, Elasticsearch and Node all run inside the containers.
Does it work next to Valet, Herd or my own MySQL?
Yes, the installer looks for free ports. When port 80 or 3306 is already in use it picks the next free one and shows the ports it uses.
Where do I change the templates?
In resources/views/vendor/rapidez within the rapidez directory. Open it in your own editor, make a change and refresh the page.
How do I stop and start it?
From the rapidez directory with docker compose stop and docker compose start. Run docker compose down --volumes to remove the containers and data, after that you can delete the directory.
Can I install it somewhere else?
Yes, by default it installs into a rapidez directory. Set RAPIDEZ_HOME to use another one: curl -fsSL https://rapidez.io/install | RAPIDEZ_HOME=my-shop bash
How do I use it with my own Magento?
The installer is meant to try Rapidez with a demo store. To use Rapidez with your own Magento installation, follow the installation guide in the docs.
